Nantou Ancient Town

Two streets inside the 1,700-year-old Nantou Ancient Town have been renovated with historical, art and design exhibitions, as well as restaurants and gift shops.

Venue: Nantou Ancient Town, Nanshan District (南山区南头古城)

Metro: Line 1 to Taoyuan Station (桃园站), Exit B

Sea World

The “Fashioned From Nature” exhibition (98 yuan), together with a Chinese section, “Fashioned From Nature in China: Then and Now,” presents nearly 400 garments and accessories. The exhibition, running until June 6, showcases items from the V&A’s and the China National Silk Museum’s collections as well as international loans. “Values of Design: China in the Making” (68 yuan) is Design Society’s permanent exhibition exploring the growing field of Chinese design. Chinese graphic designer He Jianping is also exhibiting his past works at the “daydream” free exhibition until May 30. The “SANKUANZ & ANDREA CREWS: Les Rendez-Vous de la Mode” exhibition, running until June 9, showcases photos of fashion garments by Chinese designer Shangguan Zhe and French designer Maroussia Rebecq. The “Vibrating Clouds” exhibition, running until July 18, displays installations, books and videos to show how designers respond to climate change.

Documentary photos

Photos of the seventh Hou Dengke Documentary Photography Award are on display at the “Time Particle” exhibition (35 yuan) until June 30.

Venue: Yuezhong Museum of Historical Images, inside Yuezhong Industrial Park, Luohu District (罗湖区越众产业园内越众历史影像馆)

Flame Flower Carnival

This weekend, go out for some fresh air. Follow the OCT Flame Flower Carnival organizer’s WeChat account “nature_1111” to sign up for yoga (Sunday) and Taekwondo (Saturday) events. Amusement facilities have been installed until Sunday. A live concert will also be held at Sunday afternoon.
