Shake Shack debuts in SZ
    2021-05-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Following openings in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong and Macao, the famous New York burger shop Shake Shack opens its first Shenzhen store in Mixc World today.

In addition to the classic burgers and hotdogs such as ShackBurger, Chick’n Shack,’Shroom Burger and Flat-Top Dogs, there are also three exclusive items at the Shake Shack Shenzhen branch: two ice creams named Mixc of Pineapple and Be-an Idol and one milk shake named Fan’tastic Shenzhen.

The Fan’tastic Shenzhen shake blends tropical guava with Shake Shack’s signature frozen vanilla custard. It is topped with fresh mango and passion fruit plus whipped cream, all finished off with a dusting of salted plum powder. The Mixc of Pineapple concrete combines vanilla custard with chunks of pineapple, salted caramel, shortbread, candied ginger and toasted coconut. The red bean treat, Be-an Idol, is a celebration of classic southern Chinese dessert flavors with vanilla custard blended with red bean, grass jelly, lychee and roasted peanuts.

Shake Shack partnered with E.T. Brewery, a local craft brewery founded in 2016 by Erique Yang and Terry Xie, to offer their beer on tap, including Mars Fieldtrip All Day IPA which is a hoppy low-alcohol and Last Crystal Strawberry Ale with fruity accents.

The shop’s indoor ambiance is enhanced by a contribution from local artist Yoyo Lee, who created a large-scale energetic collage art piece combining elements of New York and Shenzhen life using different colorful mediums including graffiti, stencils and stickers.

In a partnership with Maxim’s Group, Shake Shack will open another 14 branch stores in South China with locally exclusive menu items.

Add: Inside Mixc World, Nanshan District (南山区万象天地内)

Metro: Line 1 to Hi-tech Park Station (高新园站), Exit A
