They come upon a house made of gingerbread covered in frosting and candy. Unfortunately, it’s the house of the wicked witch, who befriends the kids, fattens them up and tries to eat them.

‘Robocar Poli: Forest Adventure’

“Robocar Poli: Forest Adventure,” a Chinese play adapted from the popular South Korean-U.S. cartoon TV series “Robocar Poli” is set to give children a chance to learn about the importance of safety, the spirit of teamwork and concern for others. Go on an adventure with Poli and the rescue team as they investigate a mysterious tree stump but be warned, strange monster roars and other spooky things lay ahead! To protect the town, the heroic captain Poli, brave Roy, kind Amber and the loveliest Helly, work together to overcome the difficulties.

‘Magic Piano & The Chopin Shorts’

Produced for Chopin’s 200th birthday in 2010, the animated movie “Magic Piano” incorporates Chopin’s etudes to tell the story of 10-year-old Anna who misses her father working abroad. Deciding to run away, she stumbles into an old piano, which transforms into a magical flying machine. The movie was short-listed for the 2012 Oscars and is now presented in a live concert with piano solo by Xue Yuan.

‘Drumming With Kubbe’

“Drumming With Kubbe” is an interactive concert experience for children, involving acting, singing, dancing, projections and instrumental music. The story is based on the “Kubbe” children’s books series by Norwegian illustrator/author Ashild Kanstad Johnsen, and was produced by the West End Philharmonic in Beijing. The pieces in the concert were composed by Stephan Hodel.
