SZ to stage150 science events for Party history education
    2021-06-02  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

About 150 scientific and technological events, including the “Looking Back to 100 Years: The CPC Leads Scientific and Technological Development” exhibition, will be organized across the city to educate the public on the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and its leading role in the country’s technological progress.

The events will cover such topics as aerospace, health care and environmental protection.

The events in Shenzhen are part of the 2021 National Scientific and Technological Events Week, which is jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the CPC and the China Association for Science and Technology in celebration of the centennial of the founding of the CPC.

The Shenzhen events have the following characteristics: First, the Party history, learning and education, and scientific popularization work are closely integrated. Through the Party history scientific popularization classroom, VR experience of the Party history, and a robot “Retracing the Long March” and other special activities, new channels will be opened to promote the history of the Party.

Second, the spirit of scientists will be promoted. Activities such as academicians speaking about scientific popularization as well as Yuan Longping’s contributions will be held.

Third, there will be youth science and technology innovation activities. An academicians’ campus tour, a science show performance and other activities will be held to stimulate the youth’s thirst for knowledge and inspire their imaginations.
