Wang Zhenghan, Class 1, Senior 2, Shenzhen Foreign Languages School Instructed by Peng Chunhua As the COVID-19 waved, I had to stay in Shenzhen for the whole winter holiday. I had to get up early, cram into the subway for all sorts of classes, and then spend the whole day studying, playing mobile phone or just sitting around. Everything seemed tiresome. But several days later I discovered something different. Every morning when I woke up, the sun hadn’t completely risen, and darkness was still covering the sky. However, as I went out, the dark clouds parted and the sunlight penetrated the cold air. Walking along the empty street, I felt peaceful and a bit holy. After the class it was about 10 a.m. The sky turned blue and the sun shined brightly, which dispersed the coldness and made me energetic. It was the happiest moment during the daytime. After darkness fell, there was another picture in Shenzhen. After 10 p.m. at night, the sky was dotted with twinkling stars, while the moon shone above like a lamp. Strolling along the seashore, I admired the sea glittering in the light of skyscrapers, with some birds spelling their songs over the quiet park. This short walk usually removed a day’s tiredness and brought me a good sleep. Life might consist of many nuisances. Only by accepting them peacefully and trying to find the beauty carefully can we enjoy life. |
