Shenzhen Children’s Palace released a “junior red historical site map” on June 1 to encourage local children to visit those sites and learn more about the revolution history. On the map are 33 sites related to the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) as well as more than 30 history education sites. These sites witnessed a lot of historical events in the recent history of China and the CPC, and will teach youngsters about the struggles and hardships our forefathers went through to build our republic and make it prosper. These sites include museums, memorial halls, martyrs’ tombs, monuments and memorial parks devoted to historical events and those who died in battles. Children are encouraged to register with the WeChat mini program “深圳青少年红色地图” and to record their visits to the sites from now through the end of December. Those who make the top of the list with the largest number of visits will be awarded with certificates. (Li Dan) |
