(From Page 1) In a bid to become a digital pioneer in the world, Shenzhen will build a national digital economy innovation and development pilot zone and a new-generation artificial intelligence innovation and development pilot zone. The city will improve its communication network capacity in an all-round way and build more than 60,000 5G base stations during the five-year plan period. Shenzhen will endeavor to enhance its pivotal role in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, expedite the development of strategic emerging industries and future industries, develop into a regional cultural hub, improve its social governance level, become a highly livable city, and create a democratic and law-based environment. The outline has also proposed that by 2035, Shenzhen’s economic output and per capita GDP will double from 2020.
