There is a public bathroom just down the main street of this city. Being the only public bathroom for miles around, it receives many guests in a day. Thus understandably, regular cleaning is needed to make each usage bearable for visitors.

Due to the amount of people using this asset, Jack the janitor, though hardworking, could not handle the workload.

Fortunately, after some time following complaints from Jack and the users, the bathroom manager hired another janitor.

Jack was absolutely delighted when he heard the news, so he went and welcomed the new janitor and showed him his workplace.

“Here janitor, I’ll teach you the basics.”

The janitor was a slow learner and did sloppy work, so Jack decided to train him into a proper janitor.

“Janitor, that is not how you clean the mirror,” Jack said as he stopped the newcomer and showed him the proper way.

“Thanks for that.”

“Janitor, you need to clean quicker so that people could actually use the toilet,” Jack said arms crossed, as he saw people coming.

“Sure.”

Under the instructions of Jack, the bathroom became cleaner, the complaint letters that piled up on the bathroom manager’s desk disappeared, and Jack even received a raise.

Meanwhile, Jack worked in person less and less. He left more work for the janitor and instructed him to clean. Under the instructions and lectures of Jack, the janitor got better and better in the art of cleaning.

Curiously, Jack’s working time increased in inverse proportion to the janitor’s cleaning efficiency, which increased with the janitor’s working hours.

Soon, the janitor’s workload was beginning to get a little too much. He could not finish cleaning a single toilet before more people flooded in, let alone time to scrub the mirrors and other assets.

He looked around and tried to ask Jack for help, but by that time, Jack has somehow disappeared.

The bathroom manager’s complaint letters piled up again, from both the janitor and the users. The manager sighed and soon a new man arrived.
