‘Blocking’

Chinese artist Li Binyuan is exhibiting his latest video recording his performance art at an exhibition running until Aug. 28. Titled “Blocking,” the 16-minute video records the naked Li using his body to resist a cascading waterfall in his hometown of Yongzhou, Hunan Province in 2019 and 2021.

Hours: 10 a.m.-6 p.m., closed Sundays and Mondays

Venue: Mangrove Gallery, One Shenzhen Bay, Nanshan District (南山区深圳湾一号红树林画廊)

Metro: Line 2 to Dengliang Station (登良站), Exit C

Three exhibitions

Artists Liang Xinghao and Liang Tingwei depict the present from perspectives of “stand inside” and “stare outside,” respectively at the “Stand and Stare” contemporary art exhibition running until July 4. Meanwhile, the “Early Summer” exhibition running until June 30 features 30 oil paintings and ceramic artworks by three Shenzhen artists, Li Yong, Ying Maike and Zhang Huiling. Then, “The Corner in Life,” running until July 11, features the works of five artists: Chayujun, Big Brother, Karmen Wong, Ou Yimeng and Yuan Linhong. The theme of the exhibition takes the image of “the corner” to symbolize the trivial moments or the ignored scenes in life. Through their works, the artists attempt to guide viewers to reassess those moments from a different perspective.

Hours: 1-7 p.m. (Mondays), 10 a.m.-7 p.m. (Tue.-Sun.)

Venue: Great Art Space, 1003 Shennan Boulevard, Futian District (福田区深南大道1003号宏艺空间)

Metro: Line 2 to Gangxia North Station (岗厦北站), Exit B
