SHENZHEN University, Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology and Shenzhen Polytechnic were among the top 20 colleges in Guangdong Province in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship activities, according to a report issued by Guangdong Institute of Higher Education.

Guangdong Institute of Higher Education issued the first provincial research report on colleges’ activity of innovation and entrepreneurship (2021) during the award ceremony of the 16th Challenge Cup Guangdong College Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest on July 18, news website Southcn.com reported.

The report took four first-level indicators and nine second-level indicators into consideration when comparing and analyzing the 155 participating Guangdong colleges in innovation and entrepreneurship contests organized by the Communist Youth League of China.

First-level indicators include the participation of teachers and students and the ability to obtain projects while second-level indicators mainly consist of project funding, the output of papers and invention patents. (Hu Leyi, Wang Jingli)
