To provide students a meaningful summer vacation, schools in Longgang District have launched a variety of interesting practice activities for students.

Practice activities offered to students of the Longgang Experimental School of Shenzhen consist of several parts, such as reading, reciting and practicing handwriting. Additional activities such as mask making, class logo design, singing and making reading lists are beneficial for students to develop manual skills and creativity. Also, students are required to participate in family activities and keep up their exercising.

Nan Lian School developed a series of vocation activities, including watching films about the centenary of the Communist Party of China, holding family activities, reading good books and doing social practices. The title of “Best Practice Star” will be awarded based on students’ performances.

Similarly, Shenzhen Longgang Xinyi Primary School set different practice activities for students according to their grades, for instance, helping parents do housework for lower grade students, watching movies related to CPC and writing movie reviews for middle grade students. Students in higher grades are also encouraged to pick up rubbish to keep roads clean. (Ruan Tongxin)
