Hyun Ju Han Global Economic News SAMSUNG was selected as the top brand by consumers from 14 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region this year and the South Korean tech giant took the top spot for the 10th consecutive year. Campaign Asia-Pacific, a global communication marketing firm, and Nielsen, a market research firm, said Tuesday that Samsung topped their “2021 Asia’s Top 1000 Brands” list. The 18-year-old list shows consumer preferences in 14 Asia-Pacific countries and regions. The survey was conducted online from April 12 to April 30 and the list is divided into 15 categories, including apparel and accessories, cars, consumer electronics, delivery and financial services. As many as 400 respondents replied in each country or region except for Japan, India and China, where 800, 1200 and 1600 replies were given, respectively. Samsung came in first in the categories of TV, cleaning appliance and smart home technology. It came in second behind Apple in mobile phone, computer and tablet PC. |
