‘Long Life Design’

Design buffs should head to the “Long Life Design: Thinking and Practice 2000-2020” exhibition (30 yuan) where a wide range of Japanese and Chinese products are on display. The exhibition runs until Sept. 12.

Paintings

A total of 100 paintings by renowned Chinese painters such as Xu Beihong, Qi Baishi, Wu Zuoren and Li Keran are on display until Aug. 15.

HQB Museum

Visitors can listen to various sounds recorded in Shenzhen at the “Voice of Shenzhen” exhibition running until Aug. 15. Old Chinese banknotes and coins issued and used in the revolutionary bases and liberated areas led by the CPC from 1927 to 1949, as well as the renminbi issued after 1949 are on display at another exhibition until Oct. 15.

He Xiangning Art Museum

Masterpieces collected by patriotic entrepreneur Liao Anxiang (1907-1997) are on display together with historical documents and photos related to the 1941 rescue of 800 patriotic intellectuals during the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. The exhibition runs until Sept. 15. Another exhibition, running until Oct. 10, showcases paintings created by painters in Yangzhou in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

Japanese graphic design

A Japanese graphic design exhibition (80 yuan) is being held at the Yealife Art Space until this Sunday, featuring 300 items designed by 20 renowned Japanese graphic designers, including Taku Satoh, Sano Kenjiro and Shogo Kishino.
