‘Time Particle’

Photos of the seventh Hou Dengke Documentary Photography Award are on display at the “Time Particle” exhibition (35 yuan) until Aug. 31.

Rong Bao Zhai

Rong Bao Zhai, or the Studio of Glorious Treasures, is exhibiting woodblock prints of ancient and modern Chinese paintings until Aug. 5. Visitors will see works by Fu Baoshi (1904-1965), Wu Guanzhong (1919-2010), Wang Shensheng (1896-1972), Xu Beihong (1895-1953) and Zheng Banqiao (1693-1766). Rong Bao Zhai is an old stationery, calligraphy and painting shop in Beijing. Over the years, it has reproduced works by ancient and modern painters, using the technique of woodblock water printing. The shop has housed many stationery treasures from the Ming (1368-1644) and the Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, as well as calligraphy and painting works.

Prints

The “Flower Whispers” exhibition at the China Printmaking Museum features 116 prints by 40 artists from 20 countries and regions. Also at the museum, the “100 Works for 100 Years” exhibition featuring Chinese printmaking works reflects how the Communist Party of China (CPC) led the Chinese people to struggle for national liberation and moved forward from misery towards glory during the CPC’s century-long history. Both exhibitions run until Aug. 23.

Seals

Seals from the Xiling Seal Art Society are on display until July 31 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. Paper-cuttings, photos and paintings related to the CPC history and its admirable success are also exhibited.
