GUIGANG City in southeast Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is close to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and its humanities, transportation and industrial infrastructures are also similar to those of the GBA. At present, the city is accelerating its cooperation with the GBA and striving to be a core port city with strategic emerging industries in the Pearl River-West River Economic Belt.

Last week, reporters from 15 GBA media organizations went on a three-day tour of Guigang. Organizations, including Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, Shenzhen Evening News, Shenzhen Economic Daily, Shenzhen Daily, Guangdong Radio and Television and Macao Commercial Post, participated in the “Linking GBA With Guigang” event which was co-organized by Hong Kong Commercial Daily from the Shenzhen Press Group and the Publicity Department of the CPC Guigang Municipal Committee.

From an apparel fashion area to a new energy vehicle production base, from the heart-shaking Datengxia Water Conservancy to an eye-catching lotus flower festival, reporters were impressed by Guigang’s industrial development in various locations as well as its rich culture.
