One Art Festival

Chinese artist Li Binyuan is exhibiting his latest video recording his performance art at the “Blocking” exhibition at Mangrove Gallery until Aug. 28. And a group of young Chinese artists are exhibiting their sculptures and paintings at One Bay until July 31.

Ding Cong’s caricatures

Painter Ding Cong’s witty caricatures on the 1941 rescue of 800 patriotic intellectuals during the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression are on display until Aug. 1.

Venue: Shenzhen Art Museum, inside Donghu Park, Luohu District (罗湖区东湖公园内深圳美术馆)

Metro: Line 5 or 7 to Tai’an Station (太安站), Exit C and then take a taxi

Paintings

“A Hundred Paintings Portray the Glory” is an exhibition running until Aug. 15. Some paintings on display are masterpieces by artists such as Xu Beihong (1895-1953), Qi Baishi (1864-1957) and Li Keran (1907-1989).

Venue: Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, Futian District (福田区深圳市当代艺术与城市规划馆)

‘Boundless’

At the “Boundless” exhibition (118 yuan) running until Oct. 1o, visitors will learn the development of the world space industry including China’s latest achievements and can play in several immersive virtual space areas.

Venue: Art Center, Level B1, China Resources Tower, Nanshan District (南山区中国华润大厦B1层美术馆)

Metro: Line 2 or 11 to Houhai Station (后海站), Exit G

Lifelike models of prehistoric animals are on display until Aug. 31 at an indoor park near the Ferris wheel in OH Bay. The interactive exhibition tells the story of history from the Big Bang to the extinction of dinosaurs and the origin of humans. A package ticket is available for the prehistoric animal fun park and the Ferris wheel for 148 yuan (children) or 198 yuan (adults).
