
Su Bingtian celebrates after becoming the first Chinese sprinter to qualify for the Olympic men’s 100m final at the Tokyo Games yesterday. In the final held hours later, Su came sixth in 9.98 seconds, the best ever result for Asian sprinters. Italy’s Marcell Lamont Jacobs clocked 9.80 seconds to win the gold.
