US woman has world’s largest mouth
    2021-08-02  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A WOMAN who found fame on TikTok, thanks to her unusually large mouth, has officially been crowned the world’s largest female mouth by Guinness World Records.

Samantha Ramsdell amassed an impressive 1.7 million followers on the video sharing app, thanks to clips of her fitting a range of large food items in her mouth — including an entire portion of large McDonald’s fries.

While the 31-year-old, from Connecticut in the United States, previously claimed to have the world’s biggest mouth that stretches at a maximum 6.52 centimeters, that accolade has finally been officiated — at least in the female category, anyway.

She says now she feels “great” about the fact she can celebrate her unusual asset, which previously made her feel extremely insecure.

“Being 31 and being able to get a record for something that really I was so insecure about, something that I wanted to keep so small, it’s great because now it’s like one of the biggest, best things about me,” explained Ramsdell, who works as a medical sales representative.

“If I had advice for anyone who had a large body part, or something really unique, and they wanted to go for the Guinness World Records title, I would say do it!

“Do it proud and make it your biggest asset. It’s your superpower. It is the thing that makes you special and different from everyone else walking around.”

Despite having had her unusually large mouth for all of 31 years, it wasn’t until last year that Ramsdell started showing off her uncanny ability to fit large quantities of food in there on social media.

Ramsdell originally started her social media accounts to show off her performance skills — never knowing that her facial feature would attract such attention.

“I lost over 50 pounds [around 23 kilograms] two years ago and regained a ton of my confidence back. I started taking singing lessons, then posting my singing videos on Instagram. I fell in love with improv and comedy, and started posting more of that on social media too,” she recalled.

“I made a TikTok account in fall 2019, but didn’t start really consistently posting until COVID hit around April 2020. I started growing popularity over lockdown, I’d make a lot of funny face videos, comedy skits and singing parodies.” (SD-Agencies)
