SHENZHEN is expected to build public housing apartments with construction areas ranging from 35 to 150 square meters, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported, quoting the public housing construction standards that were released recently. The standards, jointly compiled by the city’s housing and construction bureau and the development and reform commission, will take effect Aug. 15, aiming to address the growing housing demand and promote a more reasonable spatial layout of public housing. The standards specify the minimum net floor area of the apartments, including housing for talents, affordable commercial housing and public rental housing, in an effort to satisfy different groups’ needs. Housing for talents has five levels: 35-40, 65-70, 85-90, 115-120 and 145-150 square meters; affordable commercial housing has two levels: 65-70 and 85-90 square meters; and public rental housing has four levels: 35-40, 50-55, 60-65 and 80-85 square meters. The smallest apartment has 35 square meters and the largest has 150 square meters. (Xia Yuanjie) |
