Our drama is called “The Adventures of Tommy.” Since we decided to participate in the English Talent Show of Senior High Students’ Cooperative Learning for the first time, we all put a lot of effort into it.

First, we discussed the series of events and details for a long time to select the script. Then, we spared time to practice every day. We were worried a few times that we couldn’t act successfully because of a bad performance, but finally we made it! We experienced a few adventures during the process and acted it out successfully in the final competition! We performed before the audiences three times. The first time was for our classmates whom we were familiar with, so we performed very well and it was the best out of the three times. Due to our inadequate preparation, during the next two performances, we were so nervous and shy that we forgot some of the lines. As a result, we were very disappointed with our performance. However, to our surprise, we were awarded the second place prize, which was satisfying.

Through this competition, we have gained a lot. We have learned that keeping a good attitude towards everything is very important.

It is worth mentioning that we watched excellent performances in this competition, which made us realize that there is always someone who is better than us. Therefore, we should always remember to be humble and modest.
