Prints

The “Flower Whispers” exhibition at the China Printmaking Museum features 116 prints by 40 artists from 20 countries and regions. Also at the museum, the “100 Works for 100 Years” exhibition featuring Chinese printmaking works reflects how the Communist Party of China (CPC) led the Chinese people to struggle for national liberation and moved forward from misery towards glory during the CPC’s century-long history. Both exhibitions run until Aug. 23.

‘Blocking’

Chinese artist Li Binyuan is exhibiting his latest video recording his performance art at the “Blocking” exhibition until Aug. 28.

‘Challenge Mars’

The “Challenge Mars” exhibition running until Nov. 1 displays space knowledge and the achievements of China in the space industry, as well as offering interactive experiences for visitors. There are multiple zones simulating the Mars exploration and astronaut training.

Tango’s cartoons

Shanghai artist, illustrator and author Tango is exhibiting his cat-themed cartoons at the Uniwalk shopping center until Sept. 12. Tango, whose real name is Gao Youjun, gained global popularity for his quirky cartoons, which poke fun at the everyday routines and oddities of modern life. Cats, dogs and smartphone-gazing millennials having fascination with technology and social media are recurring subjects. Pet events (Aug. 11-15) and animation and electronic game events (Aug. 21-22) will also be held along with the exhibition.
