Subsidy for tram rides

LONGHUA District now pilots using the digital yuan when riding trams. The program was jointly launched by the district government, Agricultural Bank of China and the tram operator Tuesday.

Citizens who register for using digital yuan to ride trams will get a subsidy of 20 yuan (US$3.09). They also have a chance to win another 20, 50 or 300 digital yuan subsidy in a lucky draw.

A participant can win up to 320 digital yuan from the Agricultural Bank of China for tram rides.

Sunflower planting

OPPORTUNITIES for signing up as a volunteer for planting sunflowers at the south square of Civic Center are open to citizens aged 10 to 65, the city’s urban management bureau announced Tuesday.

Planting will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Interested participants can register via the “深圳城管” WeChat account.
