Ever Ace, the world’s largest container ship, is seen berthing at Yantian International Container Terminals in Shenzhen on Thursday. The ship arrived at the port Wednesday as part of its maiden voyage and is the largest container ship ever accommodated by Yantian. At 400 meters long and 62 meters wide, the Evergreen Marine Corp.-operated ship, with a capacity of nearly 24,000 TEUs, can convey up to 3,000 more TEUs than Ever Given, the Evergreen-operated ship that blocked the Suez Canal earlier this year. The vessel, whose deck is equivalent to four football pitches, is 63 meters longer than the world’s largest in-service aircraft carrier.
