DOOSAN Heavy Industries & Construction is expanding supply of equipment for measuring and controlling facilities to nuclear power plants in China.

Doosan Heavy Industries said that it has signed a contract with Chinese company CTEC to supply Industrial Anti-seismic Protection System to be installed at Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant No.7 and No. 8.

It is an additional contract with CTEC following the contract signed in March to supply Industrial Anti-seismic Protection System to be installed at Xudapu nuclear power plants No. 3 and No. 4.

Doosan Heavy Industries said it will supply Industrial Anti-seismic Protection System to Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant No. 7 and 8 located in Jiangsu Province in 2024.

Industrial Anti-seismic Protection System is one of the key equipment that comprises the Nuclear Instrumentation and Control System, the most essential system of nuclear power plant, and is a safety facility that detects earthquakes and automatically controls the reactor to stop when it exceeds the standard value.

Doosan Heavy Industries has supplied such systems to all 28 nuclear power plants in South Korea.
