Customs rejects imported electronic waste
    2021-08-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Customs officers inspect electronic waste. Wenjindu Customs rejected a total of 9.18 tons of electronic product waste from entry recently. A logistics company declared the import as LCD panels. However, upon closer inspection, the panels were found to have not been independently packaged and were scattered in cartons. They were mixed with computers, hard drives and other undeclared electronic products. The items were worn out, dusty, rusty and scratched, with even some of the circuit boards perforated for scrap. The items were further identified by a testing agency as imported solid waste prohibited in China. Wu Dequn
