When we read,

we are the protagonists.

We feel, we see,we think,

like a protagonist.

What about the antagonists?

Why are they antagonistic?

Are they inherently evil?

Or are they just perceived to be evil?

When we listen, we side with heroes.

They are the incarnation of justice.

They are the embodiment of light.

They represent the best of us.

They are morally good.

Can heroes be evil?

If one is a villain, are all the acts they committed wrong?

What makes one a villain,

Being against the public’s perception of heroes?

When we learn, we are informed about the meaning of “justice,”

We are taught the positive impact of goodwill, we are encouraged to pursue virtue.

But what about unintended wicked deeds?

We rarely hear of the damage “wise” decisions cause,

But isn’t that what “evil” actions are all about?

And what of the selfish motives “angelic deeds” hide?

Isn’t that where the devil’s work begins?

Why should we care, we ask.

We don’t, we say, as long as we are right!

And what makes us right?

Because everyone agrees with us,

because we take the mainstream view, because we speak the truth?

The stories will never be fully heard.

The pictures will never be fully seen.

The consequences will never be fully known.

The past is in the past.

Don’t those who hear more clearly have to be honest?

Don’t those who see more have to reveal all?

Those who know more must be right.

Therefore, as always, we assert we know all.

Do you want to be us?

We are right!

We follow our belief, we form a group, we are powerful.

Then what?

We hate to be wrong.

We are afraid of different thinking.

We hunt down or ignore anything against our view.

For we will win, for we are powerful, for we are the majority!

Does this make us right?
