After decades, ABBA has something coming
    2021-08-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A NEW Twitter account was started last week called ABBA Voyage.

The account posted its first tweet Thursday morning, showing the abstract image of four planets with a date and a website. The date, Sept. 2, 2021, is Friday, leading fans to believe new ABBA music will hit soon.

If Sept. 2 does mark the beginning of a new collection of songs from ABBA, it would be the first new music from the band in 39 years.

A source recently explained how ABBA Voyage will involve virtual versions of the band’s members — Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

These virtual creations will reportedly be known as ABBAtars (a play on the word avatars).

The source added that the ABBAtars are much like “holograms.” They went on: “The show will feature the Abba-tars performing and speaking to the audience. It will be like taking a step back in time for those watching.”

The band’s plans to get back together and record new music were revealed in 2018. In 2019 a source said, “Benny has written eight new and totally original songs, so far. Five of which are completely recorded on which the girls have just finished their vocals.(SD-Agencies)
