SZ’s Fashion Consumption Month kicks off
    2021-09-07  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FASHION Consumption Month, the second-month event of Shenzhen Shopping Festival, kicked off in Huaqiangbei, Futian District on Friday. Runway shows, fashion vlogs, internet influencer livestreams and other fashion elements have been in place to captivate consumers.

The activity, guided by the Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau and hosted by Shenzhen Garment Industry Association, aims to build up a fashion event with national influence.

Under the theme “Fashion Attraction & Explorer,” the shopping carnival opened with runway shows of two local original brands: ELLASSAY and AUM. The monthlong activity has attracted over 100 brands to stage over 100 shows in malls and shops across the city. Until the end of October, participating famous local fashion brands will offer discounts of 30 to 50 percent.

To further stimulate citizen’s fashion consumption, Shenzhen Fashion Week Spring & Summer 2022 is planned to be held from Oct. 24 to 31. Over 200 brands and designers across the world are expected to showcase their works in over 100 activities.

The 2021 Bao’an Shopping Festival began Friday as well. The festival will last through November and will be held online and offline, featuring several themes like short video marketing, livestreaming commerce, evening economy, “single economy” and tourism-themed activities.

Meanwhile, the Second Shenzhen International Beer Festival and evening economy sessions of the Shenzhen Shopping Festival, which started on the same day, will end Saturday. The opening hours are from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at OH Bay in Bao’an.   (Xia Yuanjie)
