CPC, I have something to say to you
    2021-09-08  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Yin Jianan, Class 7, Senior 2, Shenzhen Foreign Languages School Instructed by Tang Hong

No sooner had I joined the Communist Youth League of China in junior school, than my mother asked me to turn into a member of the CPC when coming of age. “We expect you to accomplish our dream which began to germinate in our youth,” Mom said. At that time I failed to comprehend how much you’ve meant to my family and even all Chinese.

Gradually, I heard of and witnessed your efforts in providing me with further admiration of you.

Long ago, my grandma in my hometown seldom wore new suits and was constantly suffering from starvation. But as the poverty alleviation was being advanced, the development of the countryside was significantly sped up. Under national preferential policies, villagers have taken up cultivating lemon trees and selling agricultural products on the e-commerce platforms. With higher income, they improved their quality of life. Nowadays grandma and other peasants are always brimming with a longing for harvest and merriment. Taking a firm stand on people-centered policies, you assumed the mission and have been leading us to achieve common prosperity.

Years ago, due to poor transportation, my father climbed through the window to squeeze into the bus to hurry to the company. Suddenly, a bus from the opposite side rushed straight over, and almost caused an accident. At present, it’s merely five minutes’ walk to the nearby subway station. I’m deeply indebted to you for facilitating our daily life. Not only have you shortened the distance, but you’ve narrowed the gap between efficiency and security.

As you point out that “In the new era, patriotism education is supposed to focus on youth,” students are assimilating conventional Chinese culture even from English textbooks. Undoubtedly, the role of cultural identity is fundamental to any nation. Thus, whenever I read texts introducing traditional festivals, techniques and technological breakthroughs, I take pride in your proposals and development.

CPC, you’re admirable, as you always endeavor to serve people’s demands.
