Han Ximin 1824295095@qq.com SHENZHEN Bao’an International Airport recently piloted contactless security checks at the No. 1 passage of the domestic departure area, the first of its kind among airports in China. Passengers can complete security checks in two minutes via millimeter wave body check and CT scans for carry-on luggage, two cutting-edge technologies in civil aviation systems. Airport authorities remind passengers to take off their shoes and belts upon entering No. 1 passage after ID verification. There is no need to take out computers or umbrellas and prior to body checks, passengers also need to take out items in their pockets. If the alarms don't go off, passengers can pass directly. If the alarm goes off, the inspector on standby will do a secondary screening. The contactless check is convenient, avoids physical contact and fulfills the COVID-19 prevention and control demands, according to the airport’s security inspection station. The Shenzhen airport has engaged in smart airport construction in recent years and introduced intelligent inspection programs. |
