‘A Wonderful Journey’

“A Wonderful Journey: An Art Exhibition Dedicated to Kids” is a free exhibition of paintings, installations and videos by 12 Chinese contemporary artists. The exhibition running until Sept. 20 takes “journey” as the theme to invite children to embark on an artistic trip and unleash their imagination. Children can also express themselves by participating in onsite programs.

Venue: C2 Space, North Area, OCT-LOFT, Nanshan District (南山区华侨城创意文化园北区C2展厅)

Metro: Line 2 to Qiaocheng North Station (侨城北站), Exit B

Sound exhibition

An exhibition showing sound recordings from the British Library and sound samples collected in Pingshan District is being held at the “LISTEN: The Story of Recorded Sound — Pingshan • Shenzhen” exhibition until Feb. 20, 2022.

Venue: Pingshan Library, Hekang Road, Pingshan District (坪山区荷康路坪山图书馆)

Transport: Take the high-speed rail from Shenzhen North Station to Pingshan Station and then take a taxi

Contemporary art

The “Transcendence and Rén Jiān — Su Xinping and Christopher Le Brun” exhibition, running until Sunday, features Chinese artist Su Xinping’s contemporary paintings, sculptures and videos and British artist Christopher Le Brun’s abstract paintings and prints, creating a dialogue between two cultures.

Venue: Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, Futian District (福田区深圳市当代艺术与城市规划馆)

Metro: Line 3 or 4 to Children’s Palace Station (少年宫站), Exit A2
