Economic strength

NANSHAN District ranks first in comprehensive economic strength among Chinese counties and districts, according to the 2021 Comprehensive Strength Ranking of Chinese Top 100 Counties released by the magazine Insight China.

In 2020, Nanshan GDP reached 650.2 billion yuan (US$100.75 billion), up by 5.1 percent year on year. The district is home to more than 4,000 State-level high-tech enterprises.

Among the top five are Jiangyin in Wuxi, Shunde in Foshan, Kunshan in Suzhou and Yuhang in Hangzhou.

Service items online

SHENZHEN police have put up a total of 63 service items online for residents. These include passport applications and endorsements, Hong Kong and Macao travel permits, driver’s license renewal, ID application and renewal, noncriminal record application and resident card application. Residents can apply via “广东政务服务网”,“i深圳” app or “深圳公安民生警务平台.”
