Curtains fall on 18th MH Golfathon
    2021-09-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE 18th season of the Mission Hills Golfathon, held over the past five months, wrapped up Saturday with the Grand Final held at Mission Hills Dongguan.

Su Zhouzhen won the title with a total of 75 strokes.

Yu Weiji (75 strokes) won the championship in the men’s group, Lou Wenping (82 strokes) won the title in the women’s group, and Jian Huaizhi (78 strokes) won it in the youth group. Huang Yuteng, the champion of two consecutive events in 2019 and 2020, participated again this year and won the championship of the guest group with 75 strokes.

This year’s Golfathon event attracted more than 9,000 participants, marking a rebound in golfing events on the Chinese mainland.

Launched in 2004 to celebrate Mission Hills’ recognition as the world’s largest golf club, the Golfathon offers the opportunity for amateurs to play the club’s award-winning golf courses in Shenzhen and Dongguan. (SD News)
