Forbes 30 Under 30

TWO graduates from Futian District schools have been featured on the recently released Forbes 30 Under 30 China list of young entrepreneurs, leaders and trailblazers across the country, oeeee.com reported.

Wang Chuhang and Wang Jiale, two graduates from Futian, are listed in the field of enterprise science and technology.

Wang Jiale, 24, a graduate of Shenzhen Yaohua Experimental School, is currently a researcher in Huawei. Wang Chuhang, 28, had studied at Shenzhen Hongling Middle School and Shenzhen Huafu Middle School and is a partner of LinkedCare.

Forbes 30 Under 30 is a set of lists of people under 30 years old issued annually by Forbes magazine and some of its regional editions.

Robot-assisted surgery

PEKING University Shenzhen Hospital will soon put into use the fourth generation da Vinci surgical system, the hospital said Friday morning.

Chen Yun, president of the hospital, said that the hospital’s first robot-assisted surgery is expected to be performed by the end of this month.

The fourth generation da Vinci Xi surgical system, widely used in minimally invasive surgeries, uses enhanced cameras for 3D visualization and surgeon-controlled robotic arms for more precise movements.

Escalator accident

A 2-YEAR-OLD boy’s left arm got caught in an escalator in a shopping mall in Nanshan District on Thursday morning. The boy’s arm is seriously injured, and he is still in hospital for treatment.

Surveillance video showed that the boy, who was holding his grandmother’s hand, went up by escalator to the mall’s second floor and then went down. Unfortunately, the boy’s left arm got caught in the escalator on their way down. His arm was pulled out after nine minutes of emergency rescue work by firefighters.
