The landscape along the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway presents a sense of autumn. Starting from the end of September, the Himalayas and its surrounding area have turned into a colorful palette, with trees in green and yellow. Opened this June, the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway is a section of a line that connects Sichuan Province and Tibet, with 75 percent of which being bridges and tunnels. The highest altitude along the railway is 5,136 meters above sea level. It shortens the trip between Nyingchi and Lhasa from one day to three hours. Lin Songtao |
