We Have All the Time in the World Louis Armstrong We have all the time in the world Time enough for life To unfold all the precious things Love has in store We have all the love in the world If that’s all we have you will find We need nothing more Every step of the way Will find us With the cares of the world Far behind us We have all the time in the world Just for love Nothing more, nothing less Only love Every step of the way Will find us With the cares of the world Far behind us, yes We have all the time in the world Just for love Nothing more, nothing less Only love Background “We have all the time in the world.” When James Bond (Daniel Craig) says that line to Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux) in the latest Bond movie “No Time to Die,” it may not mean much to moviegoers. But to Bond fans, it’s one of the most important lines in the franchise, and a subtle hint of possible tragedy to come. Sung by Louis Armstrong (1901-1971), “We Have All the Time in the World” is a Bond theme song and the title is taken from Bond’s final words in both the novel and the 1969 film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” spoken after his wife’s death. The song was composed by John Barry with the lyrics written by Hal David. The song is also played during the credits of the 25th Bond film, “No Time to Die,” to be screened in Shenzhen starting on October 29. |
