Students from Bogang Primary School in Bao’an District recently visited a total of 21 educational routes on the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) that cover 44 historical sites. During the first trip on September 24, students visited the education base at the First Congress of the CPC Bao’an County Committee Memorial Hall and got in touch with the stores of the establishment CPC Bao’an branch, the peasant and worker movement held in the area under the guidance of the branch, and the opening of the first congress of the CPC Bao’an County Committee. The students also visited Dongbao Middle School and the Hongtian revolutionary site during the tour. The event was part of a new curriculum launched by the school this autumn semester in order to release the students’ burden while educating them on the history of the CPC through visiting historic sites in town. The 44 sites of the tours were carefully selected by the school from the Party history education bases across the city following principles of safety, convenience and the requirements of epidemic prevention and control after a thorough research during the summer vacation. As one of the first batch of Party building demonstration schools in Bao’an, Bogang Primary school has been holding a series of Party history education activities since May, including compiling Party history-related reading materials and holding Party education lectures during the weekly national flag-raising ceremonies, as well as a paper-cutting event to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.(Wang Haolan) |
