A GALA celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held Wednesday at Huaxia Art Center in Nanshan District, Shenzhen.

The gala was co-hosted by the United Front Work Department of CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Overseas Chinese Town Group. Choruses, poem recitals, dances and acrobatic acts were presented to review the glorious achievements of the CPC in the past 100 years and Shenzhen’s development, and envision an outlook for the future.

Multiple companies and organizations from the Overseas Chinese Town Group in Shenzhen performed popular patriotic songs, which resonated with the audience members.

Several members of the city’s federation of returned overseas Chinese expressed their gratitude for the CPC and dreams to build a better future under its guidance. Some overseas Chinese who were not in Shenzhen also sent their heartfelt blessing for the country through videos presented in the gala.
