Anti-vaxxer sells fake arms to people avoiding being vaccinated
    2021-11-01  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

IN a move that defies belief, a nanti-vaxxer in Melbourne, Australia, is hocking prosthetic arms for AU$1,500 (US$1,128)on Facebook to sidestep getting the jab.

“Prosthetic arm [left or right] Using this for covid vaccination,” a post shared to the Victoria – Sell Your Stuff page read.

“Best worn under a winter jacket to disguise your good arm. Available in various skin colors. Registered express delivery.”

The purpose of using a prosthetic arm in place of an actual arm would be so the person giving the vaccine would inject that instead — though it’s unlikely any practitioner would mistake a fake arm for a real one.

Reacting to the post, comedian Michael Shafar said the arm is obviously “for those who don’t want to get vaccinated … so if you can’t afford that, you can always try turning up to your vaccine appointment dressed as Henry the Octopus.”

The advertisement, which also did the rounds on Twitter, drew skepticism, with multiple users writing that “if you go to get vaccinated and the person vaccinating you cannot tell the difference between your arm and a prosthetic arm, leave and go get vaccinated by someone else.”

“People out here spending thousands of dollars for every false ‘cure’ and method to avoid taking a vaccine that is free and will save their lives and the lives of those around them,” wrote another user.

“This has to be a joke, right? Or active trolling? They’ll pay $1,500 to get a fake arm and put on a coat [how do you get the shot under the coat?] to disguise their arm & avoid a free shot that will save their lives and those around them?” said another.

The ridiculous ad comes as fully vaccinated Victorians enjoy their first week of freedoms.
