HYUNDAI Motor’s sports utility vehicle (SUV) Tucson plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model topped in comparison tests conducted by famous automobile magazines in Germany.

According to Hyundai Motor, Auto Zeitung conducted the comparison test of four PHEV models, including Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan, Peugeot 3008, and Opel Grandland, in the latest issue published this month, and selected Tucson as the No. 1.

There were five evaluation criteria: body, driving comfort, power train, driving dynamic, and environment/cost. Tucson scored the highest in driving dynamics.

Tucson was previously ranked first in the comparison test conducted by “Auto Motor und Sport” in August, beating strong competitors such as Volkswagen Tiguan, Peugeot 3008, and Audi Q3 Sportback.

It also topped in the PHEV comparison test conducted by “Auto Bild” in July. It competed with various PHEV models, including Peugeot 3008, Land Rover Discovery Sports, and Toyota RAV.

Hyundai Motor said Auto Bild evaluated Tucson as a good passenger car with various advantages such as modern interior design, wide front seats, and balanced driving experience.

Auto Zeitung, Auto Motor und Sport, and Auto Bild are Germany’s top three automobile magazines, Hyundai Motor explained.
