CHINESE artists have brought 15 public artworks to the Shenzhen Wave — 2021 Shenzhen Bay Public Art Season at Talent Park in Nanshan District, reflecting their thoughts on urban life and nature. “The public art season not only focuses on the artists’ innovative art practice but also stresses the public’s role in the public art. We hope Shenzhen residents can get close to and interact with the artworks and express thoughts in Shenzhen’s urban development,” said Li Xiangqun, chief planner of the public art season that runs until Jan. 10, 2022. “The Shenzhen Bay Public Art Season adheres to academic studies, innovations and public participation. It not only presents cutting-edge artworks, but also invites the public to interact with these innovative works. Unlike indoor art exhibitions, the Shenzhen Bay Public Art Season offers aesthetic education to the public,” said Zhang Zikang, chief consultant of the event. (SD News) |
