The event organizers allow audience members aged 16 or older to enter.

Tan holds a bachelor’s degree in film and animation from the Multimedia University, Malaysia. Time Out Beijing identifies her of being at the forefront of a new wave of Malaysian filmmakers who deal with social issues. She has won prizes in two short film festivals, the Oberhausen Short Film Festival and the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. In 2008, she had a project of making a short film every month. She then made seven short films and called them “All My Failed Attempts.”
