Students enjoy science festival
    2021-11-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Students at Nanshan Foreign Language School (Group) Wenhua School enjoyed a great time of science at the school’s seventh science festival kicked off on Friday.

Themed “Science Empowers Education, Innovation Keeps Dreams Alive,” the science festival aimed to inspire students’ imagination and creativity, encourage the kids to make exploration and innovation a part of their daily lives, and develop a passion for science among students.

This year’s festival was divided into three parts, including contests, exhibitions and a session where students could experience cutting-edge technologies, including augmented reality, virtual reality, 3D printing among others.

According to Hu Dan, principal of the school, they offered more contests, lectures and workshops at this year’s festival than previous years, and the students were more active than ever.

Hu said that, in recent years, the rapid growth of technologies has changed the way school managers think about education and motivated them to build more channels and opportunities for students to experience science. More advanced technologies are applied in classes to improve the efficiency of in-class teaching. In addition to textbook-based learning, students can also learn from practice through various platforms that the school offers.
