THE 2021 China-Denmark Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was held online and at two offline venues in Shenzhen and Hong Kong on Tuesday afternoon.

Co-organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau, Hong Kong Investment Promotion Agency and Luohu District Enterprise Service Center, the event attracted more than 80 commercial associations, institutions and enterprise representatives in biomedicine and low-carbon industries from Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Denmark to attend on-site and online.

At the meeting, Jian Zheng, deputy director of the commerce bureau, introduced trading and exchanges between Denmark and Shenzhen, and expressed expectations for further promoting the two countries’ technology exchanges and project cooperation.

He said that Shenzhen and Hong Kong are core cities driving the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). Their collaborations with international biomedicine, and green and low-carbon companies are significant to the GBA.

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, the total trade volume between China and Denmark amounted to US$14.4 billion from January to October this year. China’s exports to Demark during this period reached US$8.65 billion, an increase of 44.4 percent.
