THE ninth China Charity Fair attracted more than 3.7 million online exhibitors and visitors and matched various charitable resources worth more than 3.7 billion yuan (US$ 578.68 million), the fair’s organizing committee has said.

The three-day event concluded Thursday. The fair was held online for the first time this year.

The fair’s exhibitors came from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, according to statistics. The event featured 916 institutions, 1,339 projects and 2,237 products.

Various charitable resources such as charitable projects, funds, products, professionals, technology and information were further integrated and connected at the fair through project matching, internet fundraising and livestreaming commerce, said the fair’s organizing committee.

During the fair’s livestreamed international public-benefit seminar, as well as eight subtopic seminars and roundtable discussions, over 80 guests shared, discussed and exchanged ideas, with the international public-benefit seminar gaining widespread attention online.

According to preliminary statistics, the fair hosted 145 information releases and project roadshows, resulting in matching of nearly 230 planned cooperation projects worth more than 3.74 billion yuan.

The projects included project donation, agricultural product procurement from rural areas and rural revitalization investment projects.

The fair also partnered with internet giants such Tencent, Alibaba, Bytedance and Kuaishou to launch fundraising activities themed around rural revitalization.

Partial statistics showed that 10.74 million people participated in the fair’s fundraising activities, raising a total of 74.17 million yuan.
