Cold Heart

Elton John and Dua Lipa

It’s a human sign

When things go wrong

When the scent of her lingers

And temptation’s strong

Cold, cold heart (Oh)

Hard done by you

Some things looking better, baby (Oh)

Just passin’ through (Oh no, no, no, no)

And I think it’s gonna be a long, long time

’Til touchdown brings me ‘round again to find

I’m not the man they think I am at home

Oh no, no, no, no (No, no, no, no)

And this is what I should’ve ever said

Well I thought it, but I kept it hid

Cold, cold heart (Oh)

Hard done by you

Some things looking better, baby (Oh)

Just passin’ through (Oh no, no, no, no)

And I think it’s gonna be a long, long time

’Til touchdown brings me ’round again to find

I’m not the man they think I am at home

Oh no, no, no, no (No, no, no, no)

And this is what I should’ve ever said

Well I thought it, but I kept it hid

Cold, cold heart (Oh)

Hard done by you

Some things looking better, baby (Oh)

Just passin’ through (Oh no, no, no, no)

And I think it’s gonna be a long, long time

’Til touchdown brings me ’round again to find

I’m not the man they think I am at home

Oh no, no, no, no (No, no, no, no)

And this is what I should’ve ever said

Well I thought it, but I kept it hid

Uh, sugar

(Oh, no, no, no, no)

Background

Dua Lipa has joined forces with music legend Elton John and Australian trio PNAU for the collaborative new disco-pop track, “Cold Heart.” The song effortlessly blends together several of John’s classic songs, including “Sacrifice,” “Rocket Man” and more. It was released on August 13 with a music video that features cartoon versions of the stars. Not caring what the lyrics really mean, young people love the track and download it to their mobile phones. It is Elton’s eighth No. 1 (and Lipa’s third) on the U.K. pop music chart.
