Louis Vuitton shows off glamorous history
    2021-12-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The history of iconic fashion brand Louis Vuitton is on full display at an exhibition called “Louis Vuitton &” or “LV &” at Shenzhen Talent Park. Entry is free but you need to reserve on the “LV AND 展览” WeChat miniprogram.

The exhibition is divided into eight chapters and follows the French fashion house’s 167-year journey to becoming one of the most recognized labels in the world. Highlights range from the brand’s iconic Monogram bags to beautiful garments by its former creative director Marc Jacobs as well as Louis Vuitton’s bold exchanges with worldwide artists.

The Louis Vuitton Monogram design is the subject of multiple areas of the exhibition — one wall is specially designed by Chinese artist Xu Bing for this exhibition, while an area displays collaborations with Takashi Murakami and Stephen Sprouse. Louis Vuitton’s Artycapucines collection featuring different artists’ takes on the Capucines bag is also on display. The exhibits include designs by Urs Fischer, Alex Israel and Zeng Fanzhi.

Founded in 1854 by French fashion designer and businessman Louis Vuitton (1821-1892), Louis Vuitton is one of the world’s leading international fashion houses selling luxury trunks, leather bags, ready-to-wear garments, shoes, watches, jewelry, accessories and sunglasses.

In addition to the exhibition, visitors can also check out a souvenir store and enjoy a cup of Metal Hands coffee.
