Shenzhen’s power supply and electricity consumption have both exceeded 100 billion kWh so far this year, China Southern Power Grid Co. announced Monday. The city’s power supply is expected to reach 106.62 billion kWh this year, up 12.9 percent year on year, while its electricity consumption this year is expected to reach 110.43 billion kWh, an increase of 12.3 percent year on year. Shenzhen has become the fifth city in China where both the electricity supply and consumption have exceeded 100 billion kWh, following Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Chongqing.
