I love you, China!

Xia Bing, Class 6, Senior 3, Shenzhen Senior High School

In 2018, a world-shaking event happened in the Lingdingyang Bay in Guangdong Province; do you know what it is?

Yes, it was the inauguration of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB). And have you ever seen the bridge with your own eyes? I had the privilege to witness the true face of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and I believe that if you see it in person, you will be shocked by its majestic posture, and you will definitely think highly of the builders!

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is the world’s most technically advanced cross-sea bridge with the longest mileage and the longest life span. It is not only the longest sea bridge in the world, but also a new landmark in the Pearl River Delta region and a new national business card.

The unique design concept of the HZMB has Chinese characteristics. With the tower designed with the elements of the “Chinese knot,” the journey from Hong Kong to the Pearl River area only takes half an hour, two and a half hours shorter than before. What a fantastic construction it is!

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is only one of the glorious achievements that China has made since the founding of the country.

Over the past 70 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the people of all nationalities have been united, struggled hard, and made great efforts in various projects, and China has undergone radical changes.

In the field of transportation, highways are connected in all directions, and high-speed trains run between the north and the south.

Last year, the world’s longest high-speed railway, Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway, was officially opened for traffic.

In the field of national defense, we have mastered advanced nuclear technologies; we have the FAST sky eye; we have completed the test flight of the first domestic aircraft carrier; and in 2019, China’s Chang’e 4 was the first mission to land on the far side of the Moon.

Different people take different ways to express their love for the motherland. I would like to express my love and pride for my country with my own words: I love you, China.
