Guangdong lures over 300 hydrogen energy firms GUANGDONG Province has attracted more than 300 hydrogen energy firms with the total value of its hydrogen energy industry surpassing 10 billion yuan (US$1.57 billion), local authorities said Wednesday. The province is taking the lead in China’s burgeoning fuel cell-powered vehicle industry and has formed the country’s largest fuel cell vehicle industry cluster, according to data released Wednesday during the UNDP Hydrogen Industry Conference 2021 in Guangdong’s Foshan. Guangdong currently has 39 hydrogenation stations while 10 more are under construction. Hefei marks 2,000 China-Europe freight trips A CHINA-EUROPE freight train departed from Hefei, capital of eastern China’s Anhui Province, Wednesday, heading for the city of Vorsino in Russia, marking the 2,000th such trip since the service started in 2014. The train carried 100 twenty-foot equivalent unit containers loaded with refrigerators and other electrical appliances. China-Europe freight train service in Hefei has developed rapidly in recent years, with its operation scale increasing from less than 200 trains in three years to more than 600 trains in one year. Its operation has grown in frequency from one to two trains per month to 12 to 15 trains per week. Comprehensive bonded zone starts operations THE comprehensive bonded zone in Qinzhou, a coastal city in southern China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, launched official operations Wednesday. The bonded zone welcomed its first batch of 10 container trucks Wednesday morning. Positioned as a commodity trading center and logistics distribution center, the bonded zone has an area of 4.56 square kilometers and mainly covers services including shipping logistics, international trade, commodity trade, bonded futures delivery and automobile bonded trade. Hunan sees robust foreign trade growth THE foreign trade volume of central China’s Hunan Province exceeded 539 billion yuan (US$84.65 billion) in the first 11 months of 2021, up 26.5 percent year on year, with the figures exceeding the total volume of 2020, local authorities said Wednesday. Exports exceeded 377.1 billion yuan and imports hit approximately 161.9 billion yuan, rising 32.5 percent and 14.3 percent, respectively, compared with the same period last year. |
